Thank you for joining us for the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration at MTP!

We held our 3rd annual Juneteenth Celebration at Melrose Trading Post on June 16, 2024 with Mid City West. We celebrated with so many incredible artists, community members, small businesses, and non-profit organizations!

Babacar and the African Dance Company kicked off the celebration with a drumming precession.

Artist Devin Wesley live painted this painting by the stage.

Joshua Marin-Mora, representing Assembly Member Rick Chavez Zbur, presented a proclamation to the Mid City West Neighborhood Council and Greenway Arts Alliance for producing this annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Comedian Sampson McCormick hosted the celebration, keeping the energy up throughout the day, and enjoying treats from Oooh LaLa Toffee!

Sydney Raneé got the crowd grooving to her vibrant and smooth set!

The featured vendors who were part of this year’s Juneteenth Planning Committee took the stage to share why each of their businesses is so special.

Thank you to Nena of Nena’s Organics,
Angie of WEPA Beauty,
