Greenway Fairfax Dance Company at 5k

This Valentine’s Day, our very own Greenway Fairfax Dance Company performed at the 2026 LAUSD 5K “Move It!” Festival at Dodger Stadium.

Thank you to LAUSD Student Mental Health and Wellness Services for inviting our students to perform again for this event!

Once on this Island Auditions & Callbacks

In February, in collaboration with Fairfax High School’s Drama department, Greenway Arts Alliance began the casting process for Once on this Island JR. which will be premiering in May 2026 at Fairfax High School’s auditorium!

With its poignant story and catchy Caribbean-flavored score, Once on This Island JR. is a highly original theatrical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical by the legendary writing team, Ahrens and Flaherty. We are excited to see Fairfax students shine onstage in this adaptation under the direction of drama teacher Hope Martinez, and musical direction of our Greenway Musical Theatre Teaching Artists Jonny Perl and Zuri Reed.

Dev Session with a Local Entrepreneur!

Restauranter Geo Delgado from @trophiesburgerclub and @ggcoffeeandmatcha came to share his experiences as an entrepreneur with our Level Up work-study program participants as a part of our monthly Dev Sessions series.

Our professional development (Dev) sessions are designed for our Melrose Trading Post student workers to grow professionally and learn skills that will help them both in and out of work, with a focus on connecting them to local entrepreneurs and opportunities in the Fairfax community.
